I have realized that i did not become an adult when i turned 18. It pretty much happened when I had a baby. Sure, I got married, paid bills, went to school and had a job. But i have noticed that there are things i do now that i never did before. I think it is because i have finally grown up. Here are some examples:
1. When i drop an ice cube from the ice machine, I no longer kick it under the fridge, I now throw it in the sink.
2. When i step on a cracker, or cereal, or anything crunchy that breaks into a million little pieces, i no longer keep walking like i didnt hear it, i get a broom.
3. I rinse my dishes, i havent quite made it straight to the dishwasher yet, but i am working on it.
4. I help prepare dinner, and always try and help to clean it up (michaels parents are kind enough to feed us every night, love those guys)
5. I floss. This is huge for me
6. I drink water most of the time.
7. I have stopped going to tanning beds. I think i realized that although i look good tan, it isnt worth possibly getting skin cancer. (dang)
8. I write Thank You cards
9. I call if i have a question on a bill, instead of making michael do it, or just ignoring it(hoping it would somehow resolve itself)
10. I now enjoy home made mac and cheese over the box kind. (if you want a bomb mac and cheese recipe check out Giada's recipe. BOMB)
11. I now ENJOY going to bed, and try to go to sleep at a reasonble hour.
It's so funny how when i was younger, the thought of taking out the trash, or doing dishes KILLED me. When we would have huge sunday dinners growing up I would always watch all the women help and clean up after dinner and i remember thinking "that sucks that they have to do that" and now that i am that age where I am the one helping, its no big deal. at all. You dont complaing about it because it has to be done. and that my friends, is why i am now a grown up.
Feel free to add your own!
ELLA UPDATE!
We had our 4 months appointment yesterday. She did get her shots, but she did really good. She is still a bit out of sorts, but thats nothing some tylenol and TLC cant fix. She is 13.06 lbs and 25" she is in the 50th percentile on everything except her weight, she is in the 25th %.
She is such an easy baby. We drove to utah to visit Mallory, and she did not cry, at all, in her carseat. She just took her naps and drank her bottle, and as long as someone was in the back to play with her while she was awake, she was a happy girl. I am so lucky :)

You are so lucky!! We're hoping Michael will be easy on the way to CA. We're thinking of forward facing him so he can watch some baby signing time on the dvd player..who knows! Anyway, I feel like you did, having a baby made me grow up and the whole owning my own house thing. Although, sometimes I still leave ice on the floor..but it's usually because the dogs like to eat it :) And I usually get the broom out at naptimes because otherwise the whole time the babies are snacking I'm sweeping and thats just silly :) Glad you are officially a grown up, its not THAT bad ;)
